Available in various configurations, with electric or diesel motors, they are fully compatible with screw conveyors, belt conveyors, weighing, and dosing systems. The internal structure is designed to ensure complete bag emptying (big bag discharge) and maintain a constant, controlled flow to downstream systems.

The compact, modular design allows rapid installation even in tight spaces, facilitating loading, opening, and maintenance operations. Operation and Safety

In Poggi Big Bag Dischargers, every component is designed to ensure durability, reliability, and ease of use during unloading operations of bagged materials. The structure is built to withstand mechanical stress and operate efficiently even under demanding conditions.

Once positioned, the bag rests on the reinforced grid; the integrated blade cuts the bottom, allowing the material to flow out, which is then collected and conveyed to the next stages of the process. The standard configuration offers a storage capacity of 3 m³, equivalent to three bags, providing high operational autonomy and greater flexibility for the operator, who can manage the process even remotely.

The discharge hopper ensures smooth material handling, preventing blockages and minimizing residue. This results in a steady flow toward screw conveyors, belts, or dosing lines, reducing processing time and maintaining operational continuity. Integration with silos, existing plants, or handling systems makes Poggi Big Bag Dischargers a versatile and safe solution for feeding bulk materials.

They are available in three configurations: electric, diesel-powered, or manual-load.
The electric and diesel versions differ in power supply: the electric version connects to the mains, while the diesel version features a generator unit for fully autonomous operation.
The manual-load version is available in both power options and is designed for direct bag loading by the operator, ideal for applications with small material quantities.

This versatile range ensures maximum operational flexibility, even in environments without electrical supply.

CUTTING BLADE

The cutting blade, made of high-strength special steel, is designed to cleanly and precisely open the bottom of the big bag. Its optimized geometry allows accurate cuts on fibrous or compacted materials, enhancing the speed and efficiency of the discharge.

MATERIAL-SPECIFIC SCREW CONVEYOR

The screw conveyor, available in different types depending on the material to be handled, is designed to manage products with widely varying physical characteristics: from fine powders such as lime and cement to more abrasive or challenging materials like plastic granules, fertilizers, and ashes. Each conveyor is sized according to the required throughput and the type of material being processed.

INTERNAL LINING

Different types of internal linings can be applied, selected according to the nature of the material to be handled. These linings serve a dual purpose: they protect internal surfaces from wear, abrasion, or corrosion, while also facilitating material flow toward the outlet, reducing friction and accumulation. The correct choice helps optimize operational efficiency and extend the silo’s service life.

EXTRACTION SYSTEM In Poggi big bag dischargers (with screw conveyor), material extraction occurs by gravity through a bottom opening equipped with a bag-breaking grid. The material is conveyed to transport systems such as screw conveyors or belts, with the option to integrate control valves, gates, or custom fittings for direct feeding. INTEGRABLE VIBRATION SYSTEMS To facilitate the discharge of compact or difficult-to-empty materials, electric vibrators or selective vibration mechanisms can be installed. These devices prevent material stagnation and maintain a constant flow toward the extraction point. FLUIDIZATION For dusty or lightweight materials, the bottom of the big bag discharger can be equipped with compressed air nozzles. Fluidization improves flowability, prevents accumulation, and optimizes discharge. FLOW CONTROL Through screw conveyors with frequency inverters, the flow rate can be precisely managed, allowing controlled extraction according to operational needs. This approach reduces waste and improves dosing in subsequent process stages.

DOSING of materials
